I used to encounter this problem with the Steinberg Library Manager. (In fact, a lot of Cubase users do encounter this issue).
"Steinberg Library Manager privileged helper has wrong version (-1,-1). Failed to establish privileged helper! Please get the latest Steinberg Library Manager and reinstall"
I looked into the Steinberg forums and what they suggested is to re-install the latest version of Steinberg Library Manager. I did as per the suggestion. However, the problem persists.
However, there was a solution.
Solved - Steinberg Library Manager Privileged Helper has wrong version - Mac
☞ First, make sure you have the latest version of Steinberg Library Manager Installed
☞ Restart your Computer
☞ Download CC Leaner for Mac (use the Free Version)
https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-mac
☞ Install & Open the CC Cleaner
☞ Click the "SHOW STARTUPS" button
☞ Make sure that the Launch daemon is checked On for the following Helper Files from Steinberg
☞ Restart your Mac
