What is a Tritone Substitution? How do you work out a tritone substitution? How do you use one? The tritone is defined and it’s use within a Dominant 7th chord is explored. The inversion of the tritone is demonstrated as a means of finding the tritone substitution then the replacement of the Dominant 7th with a tritone substitution is explored. Different ways of finding the tritone substitution are investigated and a comparison is made with other ways of seeing the tritone substitution
